Shipping

We offer an in-house packing and shipping service for most lots and approximate quotes are given in advance on the lot description page to help you work out what you may pay in total for your lot(s). Please note that these are estimates ONLY.

If we have indicated on the Lot Description page that we can ship a lot, and you require your purchased lot(s) to be packed and shipped by us, please let us know by email, or by clicking the 'Request Shipping' button on the online invoice, after you receive your invoice so that our shipping department can calculate an exact cost - particularly if you have purchased more than one lot. The shipping cost will then be added to your invoice. 

We ship all lots via a tracked and insured UPS service only. 

Insurance
Please note that shipping insurance can only be calculated after the hammer falls on the day of the auction, as we need the value of the package in order to calculate the insurance cost. The cost of insurance is 1.5% of the total of the invoice(s), which is added to the cost of shipping via UPS.

We will then be in contact with you with an accurate total cost for insured packing and shipping, which can be added to your original invoice. 

We use environmentally friendly materials where possible - all our boxes are FSC approved and are responsibly sourced.

Import Duties & Tariffs
When your item(s) arrive in your country, import duties, tariffs & taxes and other service charges may be payable before goods are released to you. These duties, tariffs, taxes and charges vary for each country and are entirely your responsibility and must be paid by you. Please note that we have no way of knowing what they will be. If you do not pay these charges, your item(s) will be returned to us.

Items or Lots That We Can't Ship
Please note that there are some items and/or lots that we will not be able to pack and ship. This may be because due to the fragility of an item, its size, its weight, its value, or due to other restrictions. Where possible, this will be noted on the item description page.

Therefore, it/they must be collected from our premises in Royal Tunbridge Wells, or you can nominate a third party packer and shipper of your choice.

What if I want to collect my lot(s) or get someone else to...?

Then just let us know! Booking an appointment is not necessary, but is strongly recommended so that we can have the lot(s) ready for you to make the collection quick and easy. Please click here to book an appointment, and please bring photographic identification and proof of address with you - a driving licence is ideal. We are open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am until 5pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday. 

You may, of course, appoint your own shipper, or another individual or party, to collect your lot(s). If you do this, you will need to inform us in writing of the identity of the company or individual and indicate that you are giving permission for them to collect on your behalf. The person collecting must also bring proof of identification and an email, letter, or other written proof identifably from you as the buyer that they have your permission to collect on your behalf. 

Please note all lots must be paid for in full before they will be released.
