Albert Amor Ltd is a well-known antique dealership in St James', London, founded in c1900. Although the company became best known for its expertise in, and stock of, fine porcelain, the company also acquired and sold many notable other works over the decades including Lily, Duchess of Marlborough's pearl necklace (bought from Christie's in 1911 for over £16,000), and the dining suite from Lord Nelson's cabin on HMS Victory. In 1921, Albert Amor was appointed Antiquary to Her Majesty Queen Mary. The company continues today, specialising in English porcelain.
Condition: Not examined out of frame, and not examined with a UV light. No apparent, holes, tears, repairs or loss of paint to the surface. Could certainly do with a professional clean.
