Jacobus Theodorus Abels (Dutch 1803-66), large moonlit river scene, oil on canvas, signed 'Abels Fxxx' [Fecit?] bottom right, the scene with mill and horse, and trees, framed in an ornate 19th century gilt frame. Canvas 49cm high x 56.5cm wide, frame 78cm high x 189cm wide.
Condition: No holes or tears to canvas, small 0.5cm loss of paint to bottom centre, a 5cm linear dent left centre as photographed. Frame with missing components to scrolling areas and other details, and repainted in gold paint. Unexamined out of its frame and not examined with a UV light.

We are sorry but this lot cannot be shipped by our in-house packing and shipping department. Therefore, it must be collected from our premises in Royal Tunbridge Wells, or you can nominate a third party packer and shipper of your choice.
