A Worcester Porcelain 'Fables' dish decorated by Jefferyes Hammett O'Neale in circa 1770, depicting the fable of 'The Mule and Packhorse', it is ungilded and has an unembellished gros bleu border with the fable depicted in the central cavetto, diameter 22.9cm.
FOOTNOTE: O’Neale had worked at the Chelsea Porcelain factory before moving to Worcester and then returning to London. This may be Worcester or London decorated. This was sold at Bonhams 16 March 2004, Lot 189 in Part I of The Zorensky Collection of Worcester Porcelain sale. This may be seen in the Zorensky Catalogue fig. 320.
Condition: There is an e-shaped crack in the central cavetto, this is not visible without the aid of strong bright light and does not impact upon the fable depicted. This is old restoration and the overspray has yellowed as viewed on the underside. There are light scratches across the surface of the fable side as photographed. Otherwise in very good condition.

The above quotes do not include insurance. If you require insurance, please request this when you request your lots to be packed and shipped. We can only know the cost of insurance after the hammer falls as it is only then that we will know the value to be insured.
